Tonight is the biggest bar night of the year. That's right the annual "Night Before Thanksgiving." Family and friends are all back in town and get together to reminisce about the good times over a few Gansetts at your favorite local watering hole. Then on Thanksgiving day everyone gathers around the table to enjoy some turkey and give thanks. And don't forget enjoying some Gansett while watching the Pats take on the Lions in Detroit. So we thought of a special way to make it even better. Send us your photos and great stories from the long Thanksgiving weekend and you could win tickets to our 120th Anniversary Party on December 29 at The Met in Pawtucket. Just make sure these photos and stories contain Gansett. Maybe you talk about you and your group of friends get together each year the night before. Or even how some of your relatives around the Thanksgiving table always had wine glasses filled with Gansett. There's also some great Thanksgiving recipes that contain beer like Mark's beer brine turkey fry. Either way this is going to be excellent weekend. Thank you for the comments. We actually do quite a bit on Block Island every Summer. Our biggest is the Fourth Of July party at The Oar. We set-up on the lawn during the day and play a bag toss game for prizes. Plenty of cold Gansett drafts are enjoyed. Then that night we hit Yellow Kittens for the Steve Smith & The Nakeds show. After a quick trip to my local liquor store to stock up for the post-Christmas noreasta’ and picking up my 2011 ‘Gansett Girls calendar, I couldn’t help but notice that you need some real South County support! Originally a Narragansett RI local, I am now living on Block Island and think you need to consider some serious summer promos out here.Think about it…and keep makin’ us all happy! I am raising my tallboy in a cyber-salute to good ol’ Gansett!
