When autocrat was started in 1985, founder Frank O. Field was drawn to the word Autocrat, the one who rules with undisputed sway. It was then that their most delicious flagship product, Autocrat Coffee got its name. Throughout the 1900s, ‘Gansett and Autocrat were the beverages of choice in New England. We present here, our collaborative Coffee Milk Stout, a flavorful and smooth dark ale that pays homage to our shared heritage while celebrating the art of craft brewing. A swallow will tell you!

NORSE X NORSEWEST

8.2% abv Scandinavian Fruited Ale

This Scandinavian fruited ale was brewed with Nordic yeast. The addition of lingonberry, bog myrtle, juniper, and European hops make this beer uniquely herbal, earthy and fruity.

PRE-PROHIBITION LAGER

5.3% abv – Traditional Lager

Our recreation of the lagers brewed by German immigrants across the United States, who blended old-world techniques with local ingredients to fashion some of the most drinkable beers in history. Smooth, with a subtle caramel malt sweetness, and with a little more body than the common lagers of today. Made with pilsner malt from our friends at Stone Path Malt, Flaked English Maize, and American hops.

I AM PROVIDENCE

8% abv DIPA

A lighter bodied, hazy IPA. Soft on the palate with slight sweet bready notes derived from German Pilsner malt & wheat. Copious amounts of Mosaic, Chinook, and Motueka hops bring flavors of ripe papaya, grapefruit and orange blossom.

FRESH CATCH

4.2% abv Session IPA

Golden ale hopped with citra for notes of grapefruit and citrus. Light on the palate. Brewed to be the perfect pairing with whitefish or shellfish.

BLACK POINT STOUT

Black Point Imperial Stout is an intense, complex and rich stout. Heavy bodied with a notecable warmth on the palate. Notes of dark chcolate, coffee and caramel.

Brewed with Maris Otter English dark malts. Hopped with traditional English hops, Fuggles and East Kent Goldings. This traditional English Barleywine presents flavors of rich toffee and dried fruit.

FOX POINT

Fox Point is brewed for the Providence neighborhood we call home. This is our American Pale Ale and it has been a taproom favorite since tapping the first batch in July of 2021. It is a clean, drinkable pale ale with a touch of malty sweetness and a pleasant hop bitterness.

PORTER

We’ve been brewing our robust American porter since 1916, a beer with enough backbone to carry us through Prohibition and beyond. These days, whether you call it ‘Gansett Dark, like some old-time, local fishermen, or just plain Porter, you’ll love this hardy and deliciously nuanced brew.

This beer is nice and roasty with notes of dark chocolate and brown sugar. Goes down easy!

MUSIK EXPRESS IPA

6% abv – New England IPA

Our flagship IPA to pay homage to the classic ride at Rocky Point. El Dorado & Waimea hops give way to notes of grapefuit and papaya. Pleasant bitterness up front, with a juicy, tropical finish.
