This Friday, June 7th, WBRU is kicking off their annual FREE SUMMER CONCERT SERIES with New Politics! Yup. For FREE. 7pm. Waterplace Park. BE THERE. New Politics were rad at Fete a couple of months ago and will be rad again! Come hang out with us (and them). The BRU Crew will be at Union Station Brewery beforehand (from 5-7, to be exact) giving all of YOU the chance to get V.I.P. seating, grab some swag…all the good stuff. And, of course, in addition to an awesome free concert from one of our favorite bands, we’ll be hanging out with Dunkin’ Donuts, RIPTA, People’s Credit Union, Narragansett Beer, and Deep Eddy Vodka. Because…well, what would a party be without all of our friends? Hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark, New Politics has been active since 2009. They moved to the US when they made a record deal with RCA, and now live in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York. Their self-titled New Politics was released back in 2010, and their latest release this year is A Bad Girl in Harlem. Check out New Politics playing their hit “Harlem”!
