The third show of the 2009 "Thursday Nights Live at ALCO" FREE Outdoor Summer Concert Series in Providence, featuring longtime Providence favorites THE AGENTS, is tonight at 7PM! Come early and stake out your spot on the Green or at one of our outdoor tables on the Cee-Ment Patio. Great food from EVERYMAN and 'Gansett will be available, both inside and out. A perfect way to end your week, and begin a summer weekend. The Agents are: Jason DaLomba (Guitar, Vocals), Dawn Maguire (Trumpet, Background Vocals), Frank Moniz (Tenor Saxophone), Joe "Tuffy" McDermott (Baritone Saxophone), Jay Medeiros (Bass), Adam Go (Alto Saxophone), Matt Niebels (Percussion), and John Latourneau (Lead Guitar). When Jason and Dawn formed the band in February of 1995, they took their name from Jason's dad's former band. The originalAgents were a Surf Rock, Soul, and R&B band in the ’60's; Jason thought it was fitting to continue the family tradition with his band. The Agents' debut full-length CD on Radical Records, entitled "For All the Massive," is a grand mixture of Traditional Ska, Reggae, Swing and Surf. The eight members of the band bring a special mixture of styles to their sound; very rich, moving, and catchy as hell. This will be a great show so don't miss out!
