Narragansett’s 1 millionth case produced (since locals acquired the brand in 2005) has been ordered, and it will land on Thurs 4/22 at McKinlay’s in Holden, MA. The case will be hand delivered by Gansett’s owner Mark Hellendrung along with mascot Tall Boy the Can in the early afternoon, and will be sold during a tasting sometime in the late afternoon between 3:30 - 6pm. The lucky purchaser of the 1 millionth case will win 2 Red Sox tickets in the Narragansett "Hi Neighbor" 3rd row seats. They will also watch the game with Mr. Hellendrung and former New England Patriot Troy Brown, who is also a Gansett owner. Furthermore, the winner will get their name engraved on a plaque that will live on a brick at the new Narragansett brewery, which is targeted to open in 2011. McKinlay’s Liquors is located at 624 Main Street in Holden, MA, so come on down and join us for the fun and maybe you’ll walk away with the 1 millionth case!

Hi Neighbors,
We really appreciate your feedback and concern. It would have been great to have this case land in Rhode Island. However, we had no control over where it went. The shipping destination was completely random based on when orders came in from our distributors and retailers. Thank you!
Have A ’Gansett!
I agree with Lou. The case should have landed in Rhode Island. This is bogus. I am upset that love was not shown to RI. While we are on the subject lets build the new brewery in Boston. Right next to Sam Adams and Harpoon???? Or Maine next to Shipyard, Allagash or Geary’s.
Narragansett belongs to Rhode Island! It is New England’s beer but its roots and history are here. Oh yeah I forgot Narragansett Bay and the Narragansett Indian Nation are located in Rhode Island, just in case you did.
MAJOR BUMMER!
I agree with Lou. Somewhere in Cranston, or Rhode Island for that matter, would have been a far better choice than Holden. Very disappointing choice.
Holden, MA? Really? You should have picked a liquor store close to the old brewery in Cranston!
How about some love for the people in actual Narragansett, RI?
