Another favorite of ours from the Gansett Tribal Rock Festival is Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. They rocked the RI Auditorium back in 1970. For those of you who don't know, the RI Auditorium was located on North Main in Providence and was the home of the RI Reds hockey team. CSNY released their critically acclaimed record "Deja Vu" earlier that year. It has since sold over 7 million copies worldwide. This was the first time fans got to hear Neil Young added to the band. Notice the "Sound by Hanley" underneath the band names. I can just imagine what sort of sweet trio of vocal harmonies were produced along with Young's filthy electric on that cool autumn night. We're in for a real treat tonight because David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash are back in RI at the PPAC. Sadly without Neil Young, but we're confident we'll hear some amazing acoustic finger pickin', pedal steel whallin', and vocal harmony sweetness. With that, we leave you with this gem: "Teach Your Children" off "Deja Vu" and appropriate for Father's Day.
