Clam Shack Of The Week: Barking Crab, Boston

Barking Crab

On a recent excursion in Boston, I found myself about to embark on a Boston Harbor boat cruise out of Rowes Wharf. We forgot something in the van and had to take a trip back to the lot where we were parked. Which was conveniently next this amazing looking spot on the water called The Barking Crab. With only fifteen minutes until boarding and about an hour until departure my girlfriend and I longed for a 'Gansett. There's something about being on the water that makes you thirst for the Official Beer Of The Clam. Knowing the Crab served tall boys we popped in for a quick beer. Always a good idea in my book. They offered New England's finest lager for only $3 and we were able to down 2 before boarding. For Boston, when you think about it, that's an excellent price and not to mention a convenient location with plenty of ample cheap parking. The seafood looked amazing. My buddy was able to grab a lobster roll to-go and said it was right on the money. I also saw a gentleman at the bar enjoying some delicious looking steamed crab legs from one of their legendary platters. And yes he was washing those down with a 'Gansett. Right as we had to leave we had the pleasure of catching the first song of their band for the evening. It was a great cover of the Star Wars theme song. A nice treat, but we didn't catch their name and had to get on the boat. Definitely going to hit The Barking Crab up again. For more info and their full menu and website visit BarkingCrab.com.
