Providence, Rhode Island band the 'Mericans have just successfully completed a Kickstarter Fundraising Campaign for their New Album called 'So Late It Hurts' which will be released on Vinyl LP Records, CDs + MP3 Digital Download on the band's own record label 'Merican Recordings on June 17th 2011.
This new 'Mericans album is extremely important to the band for two big reasons: firstly, 2011 is the 10th Anniversary of the 'Mericans (from 2001 until now) which is a huge landmark in and of itself - but equally impressive is that 'So Late It Hurts' by the 'Mericans is also the 10th Album that Chris Daltry ('Mericans Singer/Guitarist) has released in his long career (combined with albums Daltry with his previous band Purple Ivy Shadows which lasted from 1991-2002).
'So Late It Hurts' by the 'Mericans was self-recorded by Chris Daltry & Michael Moore at the band's "headquarters" on the North Providence/Lincoln RI line (in an old farmhouse surrounded by trees, horses, wild turkeys, a swamp and streams) and the album was mixedby Pete Donnelly (bassist of The Figgs / NRBQ / Soul Asylum) who also mixed the band's previous album 'Where All Dead Leaves Go . . .' and the album was mastered by Myles Mangino (Miracle Legion / Frank Black / The Pixies) in New York City.
Don't miss the 'Mericans' record release show this Friday night at The Met in Pawtucket. Here's the flier with all the info.
