An Update On The New Brewery From Mark

Hi Neighbor! Above is an artists rendering of the brewery.....last month the ’Gansett team met at the historic CJ Fox building in downtown Providence to view the facility as a potential brewery site and to discuss plans for 2011. The building is located right on Route 95 between the Convention Center and historic Federal Hill. We’ve had a great start to 2011, with total sales up over 50%. While we still need more bars to carry ’Gansett, this great start gives us confidence that we can open the draft portion on the brewery in early 2012. Drink Your Part!

Always great to hear positive news about the Gansett brewery. It really does only belong in RI. I’m drinking my part! On another note, can’t wait for the Gansett Summer Brew!

Hi, we tried to contact and left a voicemail with the head of sales regarding the Virginia market as we own real estate and businesses from Washington DC to Charlottesville, VA. and could promote the hell out of Gansett. No call back neighbor! This market alone down here could build you more than a brewery – what gives?

I hesitate to say this, since it repeats something I offered a year ago. Whoever replied to me liked my idea and said he’d send me cards, but I never received anything. But since you’re still saying you need more bars to carry ’Gansett, then it might be worth my time to suggest this again.

As I said then, the server’s unlikely to remember my suggestion, or to mention it to the owner/manager at a convenient time. A small card with the Gansett logo, your contact info, and room for a note from me would be far more effective.

I thought of this again last Wednesday when I was at RiRa in Portland, looking at PBR, Boddlington’s, Pamola, and one or two other beers in cans. No Gansett, though, but the bartender couldn’t even remember to put our burger order in, let alone pass a beer request along to his boss, or his boss’s boss.

With the best wishes for your rapid success, I am,

loyally,

My Friends at Narragansett Brewing,

I would like to apply to be the Facilities Manager at the brewery when it opens.

I do not know much about large scale production of beer but I do know how to operate and maintain a good sized facilty. For the past 22 years I have been the operations manager at Harvard Medical School’s primate research center, located in Southboro, MA.

Although Harvard has been good to me I would consider it an honor to work for my favorite beer company.

Thank you in advance for your consideration.
