Since 1982, Captain’s Cove Seaport has grown from a vacant lot and a handful of slips to one of Connecticut’s premier tourist attractions and seaport complexes. Located on Historic Black Rock Harbor in Bridgeport, we are an active maritime and amusement center. There’s no admission fee here and they’re casual. So.... pack the kids, forget about the lawn, leave your high heels at home and come on down to “The Cove”!

Feel free to dress casually at our 400-seat restaurant. We are open seasonally, May thru September. You can find everything on our menu from different varieties of seafood, to hot dog & hamburgers to chicken sandwiches! We have daily lunch special & soup dujour. Call our take out number (203-368-3710) and have your meal ready by the time you arrive! Dine on a picnic bench on our boardwalk, under a gazebo, out on our upper deck overlooking Historic Black Rock Harbor or inside by our GIANT fish tank!! While inside, please visit our exhibit commemorating the anniversaries of Captain’s Cove Seaport. Upstairs you will find our main bar built in the wheelhouse of a nineteenth-century tugboat. Suspended over the dance floor is a 40’ model of the RMS Titanic. The Seaport crew meticulously crafted the model the winter of 1988. Also, soaring overhead in the lounge is a 2” to 1’ scale of the VS44A “Excalibur”, the Sikorsky flying boat. While in the lounge, sit back and enjoy the game on our BIG screen TV or one of our many other TV's! We have lots of entertainment here at “The Cove”, but most popular is our Sunday afternoon Bands on the Boardwalk! Bring the family, have a bite to eat and enjoy the sun and sounds here at Captain’s Cove!

Take a guided tour of historic Black Rock Harbor aboard our 40’ Navy launch, “Chief”. From the deck of “Chief”, view the beautifully restored Black Rock Lighthouse (built in 1823) and Penfield Lighthouse ~ said to be haunted by the ghost of a former keeper! Passengers can also enjoy scenic views of our local yacht club, the old Fayerweather Lighthouse and other historic sites. Tours are given weekends from May through September. Weekday groups and school tours are available. Please call the Seaport Office at 203-335-1433 for more information! Nestled along the boardwalk are the BIG little buildings. Built in Colonial and Victorian architectural styles, these miniature shops present a wide variety of gifts and delectable sweets!
