Girl’s Pint Out

Girls Pint Out is truly a gem for women&;who enjoy a good pint. Our local chapter follows the national organization’s mission to build a community of craft beer lovers that are an active and contributing part of the craft beer community. Recently, we were lucky enough to be invited along to one of their events, a beer and pie tasting at Stock Culinary Goods on Hope St. in Providence.

Pie from Rhode Island’s Humble Pie Company, beer, and a night of hanging at our favorite culinary store? We gladly accepted.

Prior to the event we sat down with Meredith and Keri, leaders of the RI chapter, to learn more about how they connect beer enthusiasts with local breweries and brew purveyors to develop a space for women to meet and connect. Their (and our!) favorite events combine beer and a local component, whether it be a non-profit, a shop full of local goods, or pie from our friends at Humble Pie Co. In this case, we were in for all of the above.

Girls Pint Out has opened a social discussion forum for women that love and want to learn more about craft beer. Their events are fun, thoughtfully planned, and often charitable and educational. In only 5 years Girls Pint Out has grown to more than 50 chapters in over 30 states and their collaboration with and support of local craft brewers and merchants definitely makes them Made On Honor.
