In 2010, Bearstronaut was nominated for the Boston Phoenix's Best Music Poll in the "New Act", and in 2011, after a lineup change, they were nominated in the "Best Electronic Act" and "Song of the Year" categories. The year did not end there, however, as they were listed as one of CMJ's Top Bands To See at the 2011 CMJ Music Festival, released a 7'' for their song "Moniker" on Vanya Records, and got the nomination for "Best Electronic Act" at the Boston Music Awards. They have played with such acts as Passion Pit, Surfer Blood, The Field, Body Language, Japandroids, Dragonette, Tigercity, Health, The Chinese Stars, and Pictureplane.
