Wall Of Fame: Are You A Recessionista?

So there are many reasons why Narragansett Beer has a special place in my heart, and I wanted to share some of them with the people. Born and bred in Cranston, I can't help but feel connected to this delicious brew. I know all everyone talks about now is the economy, the economy, the economy. I was sick of talking about it, so I decided to be pro-active in becoming the best Recessionista that I could be. Narragansett, you have helped me incredibly.

ks ago, I hired some movers to bring some of my belongings from Brooklyn, NY to Providence. We worked out a price that would be helping each other out. So these boys got stuck in traffic, and their 3 hour journey turned into a 4 1/2 hour one. Scrambling for an idea to compensate these boys for their time, I ran to the store to get some tall boys. Why wouldn't I greet visitors with a 'Gansett anyway? After a few 6-packs, some sweat, having to break a queen sized box spring to get it up the stairs, putting the damn thing back together, and lots of laughs, turns out 'Gansetts are officially a form of currency in my book. The guys felt the same way. Everyone was happy. I got my things all moved in, and made a difference in the lives of a few Brooklyn boys.

Living back in Providence, this beer has significantly changed my life. You have helped me through the financially tough times, the headache of moving across state lines, and made me feel even more proud to be a Cranston girl.

When I go to a bar and see that tall can in a fridge, I instantly know that it will be ok. Fun on a budget has never been easier! I Thank you so much for all your help with my path into becoming a Recessionista. I have been working on a book; "This girl's guide to being a Recessionista" (who knows when it will be done, but it's on it's way). One of the chapters is devoted to you 'Gansett; "Have a full blown love affair with Narragansett tall boys". This is one of many points in the book giving advice on how to still be fabulous in "this economy".

I beg you neighbors, support the cause. Buy a case. Bring our beer back to where it belongs, closest to the people who have nothing but love for it. (and $2.50 in their pocket)

Cheers neighbors!
