Hi Neighbor!
Today I'd like to talk to you about Father's Day. Who started Father’s Day? Was it some candy company, like one making up the Easter Bunny so they could sell more chocolate? Or a beer company looking to sell more beer with some ties? I guess you could Google it and find the answer, but does it really matter? I like Father’s Day.
When was the last time you sat down with the old man, or someone who has the wisdom of your old man, had a beer, and just talked? Really talked to someone who’s been there, done that and had the experience to reflect on whatever is going on in your life? Or how about how great it feels being a father to someone, whether they’re your kids or someone else’s?
It’s pretty easy to get distracted or weighed down with everything that’s going on these days. That’s why I’m looking forward to Sunday, kicking back and relaxing. And I hope someone gives me a 12 pack and a tie too.
