Over the past year we have been hard at work with the Isle Brewers Guild on creating a new brewery that would start bringing production of ‘Gansett back to Rhode Island. The road has been long and laden with road blocks and red tape, but we have stayed positive and pressed on.
After looking at and studying many buildings in RI, we and the Isle Brewers Guild had settled on an industrial building on Kinsley Avenue that met the majority of our needs. We were scheduled to sign the dotted line later this month.
Late on Monday night the very building we had our hearts and eyes set on was engulfed in a 5-alarm fire which left very little standing. While we are stunned and heartbroken, we’re staying positive and moving forward.
We can’t express how thankful we are for the Firefighters from all over Rhode Island that kept the fire isolated and all of the surrounding businesses and residents safe.
While the events on Monday night are a setback, We are still fully committed to bringing production and jobs back to Rhode Island. It WILL happen.
