Hey Neighbor! Want to help the region’s oldest brewer celebrate their 120th anniversary? Narragansett Beer, founded on December 29th, 1890 has been celebrating its 120th anniversary all year with events hosted at some of the region's oldest and most historic restaurants, bars and taverns. Now, the fine folks at Narragansett will put an exclamation point on their year of celebration by hosting a blow-out event in the brewer's home state of Rhode Island!
On December 29th the Narragansett team, the ’Gansett Girls and some special guests, including former New England Patriot Troy Brown, will say "Hey Neighbor! Have a ’Gansett!" at their 120th anniversary party at The Met in Pawtucket, RI. The celebration will feature a concert, special guests, giveaways, including free beer or ’Gansett gear for the first 120 people through the door, and prizes including a chance to win free beer for a year!
The musical line-up includes some of the region's finest performers including Steve Smith and the Nakeds, Sharks Come Cruisin’, The ’Mericans, The Tower and the Fool and Michelle Lewis. To keep things memorable the retro-chic photographers of Providence Pinup will be on hand to put the ’Gansett Girls to work posing with guests for personal photos. The ’Gansett Girls will also be autographing their official 2011 Pinup Calendar and partial proceeds from this event will go to support local arts.
Hey Newport, the good folks at ’Gansett know how to throw a party and they also sponsor numerous charity events in New England. Join Narragansett Beer in celebrating not only their 120th anniversary, but also New England and its beer heritage!
