i want to know the same thing. i just bought the 12 pack and the bock this time pours a hazy mahogany color. i remember this being a maibock (helles) with a golden color. it even says that on the can. don’t get me wrong, the beer still tastes good (and i actually prefer a traditional bock more than a maibock) but i’m starting to wonder if this thing should be called the “leftover 12 pack”. if it really is, it should be cheaper.
The Bock is leftover from last year, my Bock cans in the tasting flight I bought were marked 3461 on the bottom of the can or a canning date of mid-December, 2011. The Fest and Lager are both pretty fresh, and the Cream Ale is from April sometime. Not to happy about the leftover Bock though, kinda disappointing to be honest considering I paid about 16 bucks for the 12 pack. You guys aren’t doing yourself any favors by doing this however. Sure the Bock is drinkable, but nowhere near as good as a fresh can. Just my two cents,
Cheers

Is the Bock freshly brewed or is it leftover from this past spring?
