This is a more recent picture is from a Gansett sales meeting with MA distributors kicking off their summer program of "Chill out with a Gansett." In this photo are Bill Knight, Frank Sousa, John Vincent, Rob Eydenberg, Tom Kelley and Joe McCabe. The guy with the cast got his knuckles broken when he didn’t sell enough Gansett.

Hi Neighbor!

Jeff, I was just a youngster who used to watch the Red Sox games (Curt Gowdy, Bob Murphy) and I think the Atlantic gas

guy was Bill Coleman — then, there was your mom. I just loved her. My mother and I always tried to sound like her when she’d say “the best beer every brewed……”

I remember hearing the news of the plane crash — as I recall, you lost both parents. It was so tragic and as a youngster myself, when they said that she left a young son, I

remember thinking “that poor boy has lost his parents.”

I’m afraid I have nothing to offer in the way of memorabilia or stories — just what I’ve told you here. I typed your mom’s name in the search bar, hoping to find something and I did. Then, when I saw your post, I figured I’d answer.

I hope you had a good and happy childhood, Jeff, despite such a terrible and tragic loss. I imagine you had aunts and

uncles or even grandparents who raised you.

Hi Jeff, I have very clear memories both your parents; in fact, your father was my dentist, my brother and I called him Uncle Buddy. Your parent were very friendly with my parents, Dick and Gloria Broadbent. I remember summers at the Cape with our parents and their friends – lots of old time sports figures (Johnny Pesky, Milt Schmidt, Woody Dumart). I can’t remember if my father knew your parents from growing up in Brookline, or my mother from Newton. One year for Christmas, your mom gave me an ice skating doll that she had set up on a mirror to look like a snow scene. She was not only stunningly beautiful, she was a kind and gracious woman. I hope you had a nice life despite the tragedy you endured. When my father told me about the accident, I remember he saying to me that you “came from a proud heritage.” Those words have stuck with me all these years.

My best,

Dale Broadbent Crowe
