Thanks to the New Bedford Whaling Museum for sharing this on Facebook. It's Robert Fay's beer delivery truck hauling some 'Gansett down the cobblestone streets in historic New Bedford circa 1912. Most likely heading t'ward the Pour Farm Tavern of 100 years ago. Those wooden barrels are filled with frosty lager and ale ready to quench the thirst of the hard workers on the docks after the fishing boats came in. It makes fo' nice!

Hi Kathleen,
That is great to hear. Thanks for contacting us. This photo is great and we got it from the New Bedford Whaling Museum. We’d love to hear more stories about Roger Fay and his spirits company. Feel free to email us at contact@narragansettbeer.com. Have a great day.

Thank you so much for sharing this photo with the Narragansett family. Roger Fay was my great-grandfather’s brother. My family is very proud of its history as one of New Bedford and the Cape’s most successful spirits merchants, and this photo shows the very positive partnership enjoyed by Narragansett and the Fays. We thank Narragansett for making this photo viewable by the public.
(Note: It’s Roger Fay—not Robert.)
Sincerely,
Kathleen Fay Walter
