During our recent collaboration with Sons Of Liberty Spirits Co. we spent some time with their cocktail maestro, Ian Single crafting (and drinking) some collaboration inspired cocktails. The drink below is a play off of a classic Gin Fizz. It uses Sons Of Liberty's True Born Gin, homemade blackberry syrup (see below), your favorite orange liquor (Ian makes his own), lime juice, and the fizz - a splash of 'Gansett Lager of course!

The Neighborhood Fizz

1 1/2 oz True Born Gin
3/4 oz Blackberry Syrup
1/2 oz Lime Juice
1/4 oz Orange Liqueur
Shake and strain into a collins glass
Top with Gansett Lager

Homemade Blackberry Syrup

Combine 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water, 1 tbsp lemon juice and 3 cups fresh blackberries into a saucepan medium heat. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Boil for about 2 minutes or until the berries have broken down. Strain through a fine mesh strainer. Store syrup in the refrigerator.
