Brothers Artisan Oil

One of the best things about American Field is that it gives us an opportunity to connect with amazing makers to share stories, brainstorm new ideas, and discuss what it means to be “Made on Honor.” Last year at American Field in Boston, we met Owen and Baxter Shea of Brother‘s Artisan Oil.

When their mother suffered a stroke, the two brothers began growing out their beards in solidarity. The plan was to let their beards grow until she recovered. It was a long and painful road, but while their mother is doing much better today, the beards are here to stay.

While growing them out, the Owensearched for a product to care for their whiskers but they were ultimately unhappy with the products available. That’s when theystarted creating their own. Baxter, a bartender by trade, began handing out samples in the bar, and as the quality of their product spoke for itself, Owen and his wife Mariewere able to turn their passion into a full time career.

Their multi-purpose “grooming oil” isn’t just for beards… It can be used as a moisturizer for skin, lips, and hair. When asked if they would ever come out with a woman’s line, the team responded that they simply make products for all people… A sentiment we can truly get behind.

Not only does Brothers Artisan Oil make great products – they are a familyof caring and hardworkingpeople who are entirely Made On Honor.
