Enjoy Gansett At These Brew Fests This Weekend

Don’t miss the First Annual Brew at the Zoo to be held at Franklin Park Zoo on Saturday, October 2 from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Brew at the Zoo features stations hosted by local breweries - as well as an opportunity to stroll among the animals in the signature Tropical Forest, which is home to gorillas, lemurs, and many other species. Additionally, through out the evening guests can enjoy the sounds of the steel drum, played by talented local performer Justin Petty.

Given the popularity of Franklin Park Zoo, Brew at the Zoo promises to be the not-to-be missed beer tasting event in Boston! Proceeds from Brew at the Zoo will support the operation and continued growth of Franklin Park Zoo, its education programs and conservation initiatives.

Tickets for Brew at the Zoo are $50 each. Tickets include park admittance, drinks, and food. To order your tickets today, please call 617-989-2015 or click here.

This is a 21+ event. All guests must have a valid ID.

For event admittance please use the Giraffe Entrance. To see a map of the Zoo click here.

Third Annual Tapping Into Twain Oktoberfest

On Friday, October 1, "Tapping Into Twain," our Oktoberfest beer tasting and party to raise funds for the celebrated author’s Hartford home, will have more brews, more food, and brand-new Twain House pint glasses for sale.

And all against a backdrop of (appropriately) jug band music, performed by the famed Connecticut band the Jugadelics.

"Absolutely, positively, without any doubt whatever, one of the best charitable events Hartford has beheld in quite some time" (Hartford Advocate) returns for its third year with live music, great food and over 20 microbreweries offering samples of the best local brewed beers.

The festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. and will end around 10:00. Tickets are $35 in advance, $45 at the door. A designated driver ticket will be provided for $15. All proceeds will benefit The Mark Twain House & Museum. For tickets call (860) 280-3130.
