Weekend Recap: Miss Hi Neighbor New Haven

Rudy's is one of New Haven's finest establishments. So we thought it’d be the perfect setting for our Miss Hi Neighbor New Haven contest. Tons of folks came out to support the girls and see who won. The judges had one tough decision on their hands, but in the end Bonnie was crowned Miss Hi Neighbor. She’s pictured above with her sash and tiara. She's also a CT Roller Girl hence why she's showing some muscle while still holding a beer. She was very enthusiastic on all things Gansett and answered all of the questions right to keep advancing to the end. A well deserved win. Thanks again to John Paul for judging and Jeff and the gang at Rudy's for hosting the contest. Here are the photos from the rest of the night.

Hi Alfred,
The recipe is the same, but we acknowledge that the flavor profile is a little different due to the unique water & yeast at Latrobe. We have been working on adjusting the Latrobe beer to match the Rochester beer. If for some reason it still doesn’t meet our standards, we might have to stop brewing with Latrobe. In the mean time, thank you for drinking the Rochester beer!
Cheers!

I was very happy when you came back with the original brew. I have been drinking Gansett since 1967. When Falstaff took it over they ruined the beer. When the new owners took over and brought back the original brew, it tastes great and only drank from the bottles. Now you can came back with the 1975 nostalgia cans and I thought I’d buy some. The can looks great but I don’t like the he beer inside sucks. The cans are brewed in PA and the bottles NY. The canned beer tastes worse than Falstaff. Maybe they should come back. Sorry but very disappointed. Al-
