Wall Of Fame: Candy Rude And The Rock Gods

Unsung heroine and real-deal 'Gansett Girl, Candy Rude, who has run the craft services and backstage bar for the stars and crew at the Scituate Music Festival for the past decade, enjoys a 'Gansett, as the cherub offers one up to the rock gods. It must have paid off, because not only did the rains lighten up on Sunday, but the musical faithful were rewarded this year with a musical performance by the James Montgomery Band, with special guests Jon Butcher, and Aerosmith's Brad Whitford and Steve Tyler. Tyler later joined the The Family Stone, Sly's band, for a few closing numbers.

The Scituate Music Festival is two days of free, live music by legendary performers who come for the salt air, New England hospitality, and a cold Narragansett, the choice for guests and friends backstage. It is held in Scituate Harbor, Scituate, MA, the first weekend in August.

Candy has worked tirelessly year in, year out, ensuring that everyone feels at home, and has all that they need to enjoy the good times. Scituate Music Company, and the Scituate Music Festival producer Gerry McMorrow, and crew, think the world of her. Thanks, Candy!
