We fished on East Grand Lake close to Danforth, ME and stayed at Greenland Cove cabins on the lake. We discovered that if you crossed the lake to fish the narrows, your cell phone would change to the Atlantic time zone as you were now in New Brunswick, Canada. We had 17 folks on the trip (11 adults - 6 sons) our biggest turnout ever. The types of fish we caught were Lake trout (togue), Land locked salmon, Cusk (burbot), and whitefish. We brought a propane deep fryer and had a great fish fry the last night there. This was our 15th winter making the journey and the best one yet. The fishermen were from Mass, RI, and ME., and most went to high school together in Falmouth, MA. Narragansett beer was enjoy by the adults around the fire over some good conversation and lots of bonding. Ice fishing is more about the experience and less about the fish you catch.
