I just read about the attached new incentive program in Providence, funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. CLick HERE to read the article. I guess if Obama and Congress are going to give the money away, we should probably take it, right? It’s not like beer drinkers are paying their fair share. Did you know that there’s about $2.37 in federal and state excise taxes on a case of Gansett tall boys? Seems ok to me to get some of this money back in stimulus to support local companies, don’t you think? Current plans are to get the draft section of the brewery up and runnning in the first quarter of 2011, but we might need to accelerate that before the program ends in September.

If you have a plan you better start the application process. I’ve heard of people applying for stimulus money and the program is over by the time their paper work is approved. We might as well build a brewery as buy a prison from the state of Illinois for $250 million to house terrorist that are already in the Garden Spot of the Carribean.
