'Gansett Band Of The Week: Taproot

Taproot returned with a small string of New England dates this past weekend before they head back to the studio to work on their fifth release. Their second stop was at the Brewery Exchange in Lowell, MA and just in time for 'Gansett's debut on tap there. So of course we had to get out that night and see this spectacle of rock madness.

Their latest release, "Our Long Road Home," debuted in 2008 and has been on the rise ever since. With hits like, "Wherever I Stand" and "Path Less Taken," we can hear why. But then they tore it up at the show on Friday, November 6 in Lowell and blew everyone away. The Brewery Exchange absolutely erupted is a sea of fans stoked to see this great band after quite some time. Check out this video we took of "Wherever I Stand" from the show.

Local acts Novus Dae, Keep Me Conscious and Break The Dark opened the show. It was definitely a packed house and The Brewery Exchange is a great place to see live music in Lowell. With tons of fans drinking their part it was a great environment for 'Gansett and definitely a perfect fit with Taproot.

Since Taproot is from Michigan we just had to welcome them to New England with our own Narragansett. They loved it and was cool to have a national rock band drink local beer. So here's to 'Gansett and Rock & Roll! We can't wait to hear the new record guys.
