Providence, Rhode Island riff manglers, HOWL, recently completed the recording of their upcoming new full-length. Titled Bloodlines, the band’s sophomore offering was recorded at Planet Z studio in Hadley, Massachusetts, produced by Chris "Zeuss" Harris (Soulfly, Crowbar, Municipal Waste, 3 Inches Of Blood et al) and offers up 10 tracks of lead-footed audio menace. Comments the band on the results: "Bloodlines is HOWL 2.0/HOWL on steroids/the bigger, heavier album. We took our signature sound and pushed it to the next level. This is a metal record influenced by doom, rather than vice versa. There's more aggression, more extremes, it's harder-hitting. Zeuss really helped us capture the sound we wanted, the way we truly sound. Bloodlines is huge, brutal, monstrous!" Bloodlines is set for release via Relapse Records April 30, 2013. As a precursor to the record’s official unveiling, HOWL will take their metallic doom to the road on a month-long run of live takeovers set to begin next month in New London, Connecticut. HOWL will be joined by a host of sonic assassins throughout the tour.
