Weekend Recap: Neighbor Days Fenway, Barrels & Kegs, Georges Island, Wicked Brewfest And Rhythm & Roots

Tall Boy visited the neighborhood around Fenway Park last week to help promote Neighbor Days. He took a stroll around the park shaking hands and taking photos with fans. Then he went to Jerry Remy’s Grill to watch the Red Sox baseball game with the lovely staff there. He’ll be and about in New Haven, Manchester and Newport this week. Use the #NeighborDays hashtag on Twitter to find out where he’ll be.

Barrels & Kegs: A Rockaway Beach Beer Event, took place this past Saturday in Queens.  It was a day at the beach with beer and killer concessions for sure. Narragansett beer was there for the first time pouring our lager and light varities for all to enjoy. The sun was shinning and everyone had a great time. Can’t wait for more great events like this in NYC. We’ll be at the Living Social Brewfest coming up this Saturday. Check the blog later this week for details.

For the first time since WWII, Narragansett beer was served at Fort Warren for the Georges Island Beer Tasting this past Saturday. For the price of one ticket, folks took the ferry over and enjoyed Narragansett beer while  listening to some great live musical interludes including jazz, classical music and popular favorites. Folks searched for the Lady in Black as they explored the dark tunnels of historic Fort Warren. Other folks brought a picnic blanket and relaxed under the maple trees at the stage at Fort Warren.

Tons of fans came out and enjoyed Gansett at the Wicked Wine and Brew Fest in Nashua, NH this weekend. It was a unique tasting event featuring New Hampshire and New England wineries and breweries. Local musicians, artisans, and vendors were also on hand to celebrate the beautiful fall day. The Nashua Telegraph teamed up with the NH Food Bank to raise money for a good cause while enjoying the New England fall season.

One of our favorite Chicago based country blues bands, Sarah & The Tall Boys, were once again a big hit at the Rhythm & Roots music festival at Ninigret Park in Charlestown, RI. Lead singer and former Rhode Islander, Sarah Potenza, rocked her Gansett shirt during their set.
