To celebrate, Narragansett Beer and the West Broadway Neighborhood Association (WBNA) are threw the 2nd Annual Neighbor Days Block Party on Saturday, September 15th from Noon to 6pm in Luongo Square (between The Avery and E&O bars). It was a fantastically fun day of food, music, beer, record sales, raffles and more with all of our neighbors! Yes, even Mayor Angel Taveras came out and had some fun. Narragansett and Revival Brewing set up a cool beer garden by both bars. Julian’s smoked their delicious BBQ featuring big Al’s sauce and Gansett braised turkey. Food trucks Championship Melt, Fancheezical and Sugarush Cupcakes we’re more delictable treats! Everyone enjoyed music from Jay Berndt & The Orphans, She Rides, Black Oil Incinerator, The ‘Mericans, Northern Lands, Atlantic Thrills, and The Tower & The Fool. Sound was provided by EAW. The Rhode Island Beard and Moustache Club held the second “’Gansett Beer’d Off: A Rhody Style Beard and Moustache Competition.” The Providence Rock ‘N Roll Yard Sale set up some great record and craft vendors and sold all sorts of vinyl records, vintage antiques and fun doodads. Party goers used the #NeighborDays hashtag when posting photos or any fun activities from the party. There was a projector up showing all the photos, Instagram, Tweets, Facebook posts, etc. etc. etc. All provided by Project Evolution. There were raffles throughout the day including fab prizes from local businesses like Anarchy Eyewear, Suite Tart, the Avery, E&O, Hudson Street Deli, Like No Udder, Providence River Animal Hospital, Luniac Glamour, and more!
