This Weekend: Newport Nightcap, Bikini Car Wash And Seguin Island Race

For the first time in years the Newport Folk Festival is sold out. So if you don’t have tickets, then don’t worry. Narragansett beer, Visible Voice and Kitchen Sessions have you covered. We throwing an unofficial party complete with lots of cold Gansett’s and live music from Boston’s best folk acts. Kingsley Flood along with Swear And Shake, Pearl And The Beard, and Vikesh Kapoor will set the mood for the best party that night. And it’s only $5. So you better get tickets now, because just like the Folk Fest this will sell out. It all goes down this Saturday night at the Gas Lamp Grille in Newport. Starts at 7pm and goes til close. Straight to the point, we are having a Gansett Girl Bikini Car Wash on Sunday, July 31 at O’Neil’s Package Store in Narragansett from 11:30AM to 2:30PM. The girls will be in bikini’s washing customers cars. They’ll be pouring samples of cold Gansett’s and the catch is if you buy a case, they’ll wash your car for free. Yes in their bikinis. That’s better than a free t-shirt hands down. If you miss this, then I really don’t know what to tell you.

The Seguin Island Trophy Race in 2011 will be held on July 30th and 31st. A brief outline of the schedule of events is available at SouthportYachtClub.org.  Boothbay Region Boatyard will be the main location for land-based activities and the race course will be on the Sheepscot River, starting and ending (approximately) just outside of Ebenecook Harbor.
