Weekend Recap: Leadfoot Car Club, Chowderfest And Summer Promos

The Leadfoot car club held their annual poker run this past Saturday. The run ended at the run at the East Providence Yacht Club so the Gansett Girls were there for the finish. They had a BBQ, raffle and the girls took some great photos with the rods. You can see those in the gallery below. It was such a great day for a ride. Can't wait for more this summer.

The Knorr Great Chowder Cook-Off took place this past Saturday as well. The Newport Yachting Center was packed with chowder lovers from all over sampling and judging some delicious clam and seafood chowders. Yes the Gansett Girls needed a break and enjoyed some pizza at the booth. The sun was out and Gansett lager was flowing so it turned out to be another great day. And a big congrats to the winners! Taking home the prize in the clam category is Tony’s Cedar Key Clam Chowder, in the seafood category the title goes to Michaels Seafood, and finally the winner of the creative category is The Mooring Seafood Kitchen & Bar. A close race indeed, thanks to all who voted! Click here to see the full list of winners! Check out more photos in the gallery below.

Summer is here and that means promos out on the deck at the Coast Guard House. Definitely a great spot to be on a sunny Saturday afternoon. The deck over looks Narragansett bay and is right next to Narragansett beach. They offer Gansett lager, light and summer all in 16oz cans too. Since the famous Towers are right next door, you can even see the Coast Guard House on the summer ale label. Now how cool is that? Pretty much means we have to be there. The Gansett Girls were there from 3 to 5pm and will be back for more. Make sure you check our events calendar here for more. And check out all the photos in the gallery below.
