Clam Shack Of The Week: Coop De Ville

Pete, owner of Coop De Ville

It’s been way too long since we’ve posted a clam shack here. The season is so close we can already smell that salty sea air. But we can’t wait anymore. A few weeks ago we were at the season opening of Coop De Ville in Oak Bluffs on the Vineyard. It was such a good time we just had to make them a Clam Shack Of The Week at some point. Well deserved too when their always serving up ice cold tall boys to wash down those delicious fried clams they make. But that’s not all. They have a great fresh raw bar, ten different varieties of wings, burgers, steaks and the freshest New England seafood prepared just the way you like it. Now that’s more than your average clam shack. Rachel Ray even stopped in on a past episode of the Food Network’s 40 Minute Meals. In case you were wondering, she had the soft-shell crab sandwich. With no less than a five minute walk from the dock in the Dockside Marketplace and great view overlooking Oak  Bluffs Harbor, definitely check out Coop De Ville when on Martha’s Vineyard this summer.
