In what seems to be an acknowledgment of people’s desire for local products and variety, Wal-Mart announced that they are splitting the country into regional zones "to fine-tune the mix of products sold to suit local tastes." Many have written us asking why Gansett isn’t available in Wal-Mart’s, and the simple answer is that we’re not a national brand and don’t fit into their system. Hopefully this change by the country’s leading retailer will level the playing field for local favorites like Narragansett Beer.
