Meet Clam pictured above. His birthday was not until the end of December. After driving to three different package stores in South Boston, we we’re finally able to find Clam’s present which consisted of five sixers of Narragansett tall boys.
In 1976, following boot camp, I met a guy from Scituate, Rhode Island, named Charlie “Josh” Riley.
The Rhode Island of my birth was marked by certain signs:
“Narragansett in tow!”
Reunions are about keeping friends together, while embracing old traditions despite moving forward.
