This week we are paying homage to one of the original Hi Neighbor Girls. Vivian Brunelle is from the North Shore in Mass and enjoyed her time as a Hi Neighbor Girl for Gansett in 1962. It was the golden age indeed. She was able to use the Chevrolet Impala convertible pictured above as her own car and hung with some local celebrities like Massachusetts governor Endicott Peabody pictured below. Not a bad gig and not all that different from our Gansett Girls today. Expect they get to ride in the Gansett van and SUV in parades instead of a convertible. Maybe we’ll have to get one next.
