Just like any fan of beer, we all have different opinions and tastes when it comes to music. But the one thing we can all agree on is an appreciation for the art of creation. Sometimes a simple recommendation can take a life-long Lager lover, and turn him into a Porter swilling machine, and that my friend is what life is all about. Now...on to the music!!
Township has been around since April of 2006 and recently released their second LP, TOWNSHIP VOL.1. Described as “The Who on steroids with an Afro Latin twist,” the Boston based band have racked up a slew of good press. They were nominated by the Boston Phoenix for Best Local/Live Act, two nominations by the Boston Music Awards for Outstanding New Act/Outstanding Rock Band, and taking home the 29th Annual WBCN Rock n Roll Rumble crown. The latest record was ranked in the Top 10 albums of 2008 by both the Boston Globe and Boston Metro.
The band will be attending this year’s South by Southwest Music Festival, SXSW, in Austin Texas and are sure to have a van full of Narragansett. In the meantime, Township was kind enough to give our loyal customers a free down load of their track “Sinister Minister” – which you can check out here.
