It is with much sadness that we share the news of the passing of Mike Nichols. In the late 50?s / early 60?s Mike starred in many animated commercials for ‘Gansett as part of the comedy duo Nichols and May. Mike went on to win an Academy Award for directing The Graduate atop of a full career of so many highly acclaimed favorites on both the stage and screen. He is one of only 12 to have won all four major American entertainment Awards: Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony (EGOT).Just last week the 'Gansett team spent an evening with Mike's son, Max Nichols, at a special screening of Max's latest film, "Two Night Stand". We spent a portion of the night reminiscing about all of the great Nichols and May ads that were done for 'Gansett. To pay tribute, we will be releasing some of our favorite commercials via our Facebook and Twitter pages throughout the day.
