Internet radio station 990WBOB.com rolls out the pink carpet for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, hosting its fifth annual concert benefit, Boobstock, October 26th, at Dusk, 301 Harris Ave in Providence, RI. Boobstock offers an evening of live music and comedy, with all proceeds donated to the Pink Surance charity. According to the American Cancer Society, Breast Cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in women between the ages of 15-54 and the second cause of cancer death in women 55-74. "I started this event in 2009 because my mother suffered from breast cancer. I learned how the experience can affect an entire family and feel it is important for anyone who may suffer from this disease receives the proper care" says station owner Adam Palazio. Established in 2007, 990WBOB.com offers original live programming, and features independent musicians from around the country, with an emphasis on local talent. Boobstock is co-hosted by 990WBOB.com personality Terry Shea, along with writer,, thespian Kim Kalunian. "Boobstock is more than just a fundraiser", says Palazio.
