Mud City Crab House is a longtime BYOB Jersey Shore crab house & seafood grill. They just acquired a liquor license and is exclusively serving Narragansett! Right now they are offering the Lager and Summer Ale on tap and in the can. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner back in 2010 when they won an award for their chowder at the Knorr Great Chowder Cook-Off in Newport. We gave them some beer and they gave us some crab cakes which we featured as a recipe here. Now we're proud to say we're the first beer they serve. “Mud City” is what the locals call the old time bayside community just adjacent to the restaurant. The area is aptly named after its notorious high tides and the muddy streets that are left in their wake, a long with its tradition of the baymen’s lifestyle, and we’re proud to be a part of it! Since 1999, MUD CITY CRAB CAKE CO. has been an owner-operated restaurant featuring a casual family atmosphere and a full-scale fish market. We do not have a liquor license, so feel free to bring your own wine and beer. There is frequently a wait for a table, but our patio overlooking the wetlands provides a festive place to enjoy a cold drink and an appetizer while you wait. Mud City Crab House 1185 E Bay Ave.
