Craft Beer and Newport, RI…Perfect together… Save the date for this year’s 2nd Annual Newport Craft Beer Festival! Saturday, April 27th at the Great Friends Meeting House in Newport, RI Session 1: Noon-3pm Session 2: 4-7pm Tickets on sale now! Brought to you by: Pour Judgement Bar & Grill and Newport Storm Brewery! To benefit the Rhode Island Brewers Guild Click here for tickets and more info. Get Gored for Good is a fundraiser and festival to benefit Amos House this Sunday, April 28th. The route is approximately 2 miles and is not your average athletic event. After all, at what other events are Providence Roller Derby League members dashing after you wearing horns?! The day will begin with registration and warm up. Then, you are OFF! Navigate the 2 mile route through Downcity Providence at your own pace, with “rollerbulls” on your heels, urging you on. Upon completion, celebrate with your friends at an outdoor after party, featuring great local food, drink and live music. Run or walk the route – this event is great family fun for all involved! So, don’t miss out on this unique Providence event – grab the bull by the horns and get gored for good! “Get Gored For Good” is festival fundraiser for Amos House that centers around an Encierro (bull run) based on the world famous Pamplona “Running of The Bulls.” The difference? Our bulls are rolling—the women of the Providence Roller Derby, decked out in horns and wielding red paint-brushes— will run you down, while you raise money for Amos House. The Encierro takes place in the heart of Downcity, Providence, and will end with an afterparty at the run’s end—50% foot-race, 50% street-party, 100% spectacle. Downcity Providence Check-in and Registration is at Waterplace Plaza and the route ends with an after party at Burnside Park Need directions? Click here for a map
