Ever since the days before we even called it “Rock Hunt,” WBRU has run an annual contest to find one deserving, talented, underexposed act in our area and give that act a shot at the big time. Through a series of raucous shows at local clubs, WBRU has, since 1980, been giving local music a boost it clearly deserves.

Let’s Rock. Visit WBRU.com for updates and more info.

The 9th Annual New England Saltwater Fishing Show is this weekend at the Rhode Island Convention Center. Hosted by the Rhode Island Saltwater Anglers Association, this will be the sixth straight year that Narragansett is the only beer with a booth their. Fishing has been a great part of New England heritage for years and why not have New England’s heritage beer while your at it. So while your shopping around the show for some new rods, lures or maybe even a boat, stop by the Gansett booth for a quick taste and say Hi Neighbor to the Gansett Girls. We’ll be raffling off some Gansett Gear to wear out fishing this year and pouring some lager, light and porter to enjoy. Our booth will be open on Friday from 1-9p, Saturday from noon-7p and Sunday from noon-5p.

The New England Food Show is the region’s largest event focused on the retail and foodservice markets.  NEFS is THE place in New England to get inspired and source trendy and new food, beverage and equipment ideas. Stop by the Gansett booth for a sample of our new Cream Ale.

If you influence buying decisions or purchase products for retail markets, supermarkets, distribution, institutional foodservice or large or small restaurants, you’ll find everything you need to satisfy your customers, attract new ones, and grow your bottom line.

Sponsored by the Massachusetts Restaurant Association and supported by other New England restaurant, retail and specialty foods associations, the New England Food Show is a must for any business looking to grow in the New England market. Click here for more info.
