Yes we've featured these gents on the blog many times before. But since their last 2, yes last 2, attempts at performing in the WBRU Summer Concert Series were canceled due to weather, they're getting one more. Third times a charm I guess. How nice of the folks at WBRU and the City Of Providence to have the Wandas back this Friday. Lets just hope we get good weather. The first time was in 2010 as part of their Rock Hunt prize and then they were scheduled to kick off the 2011 SCS. We're positive this time will be well worth the wait. Their latest record is set to be released later this month too. Sadly this will be the last BRU SCS of the summer. So who better to go out with than the Wandas. Have to thank the City Of Providence for putting up with us for the past 8 weeks. Sluggin' Gansett tall boys at Waterplace Park on our blankets on the lawn. Tall Boy and Clammie running around with Dunkin' Donuts' Cuppy. Ah the memories of the Summer Concert Series. Late nights at Sullivan's Rhode for the after parties. I'm sure this Friday will be no different. Knowing the Wandas, I'm sure they'll have an after party some where like the Whiskey Republic most likely.
