Castafari presents the 2011 Hyannis Tuna Fest hosted by Hyannis Marina and Trader Ed's Restaurant. Tuna Fest 2011 is bringing Cape Cod a world class bluefin tuna sportfishing competition, celebrating one of the best and most thriving bluefin tuna fisheries in the world. This event will take place July 7 through 10, 2011. The FIRST ANNUAL 2011 HYANNIS TUNA FEST will be open to the public, catering to all boat owners and offshore fishing enthusiasts. The event will also be working in conjunction with ONE MISSION which is a public charity dedicated to enhancing the lives of pediatric cancer patients and their families. The 2011 Tuna Fest will involve big money calcuttas, live entertainment, great food, fun atmosphere, marine industry vendor displays, and some of the best big game tuna fishing in the world! The 2nd weekend of July was strategically chosen for this event as it is a highly productive time for Cape Cod bluefin tuna fishing. Whats also nice about this early season bluefin fishery is that its very close to shore...sometimes within a mile off the beach!
