Providence Ranks #4 For America's Favorite Beer Cities 2010

It comes with no surprise that visitors ranked Providence number 4 out of 35 for America's Favorite Cities for microbrew beer. Click here to see for yourself on TravelandLeisure.com. Downtown Providence has some great hotels with some of the best bars and restaurants within walking distant. Most of which feature local food ingredients and drinks. Some of the bartenders even suggest drinking local favorites like Narragansett and Trinity to tourists. With both beers high ranking on Beer Advocate it's no wonder folks rank the capital city of Rhode Island high on the beer list. Narragansett has been the staple in Providence for 120 years. We get lots of emails and Facebook posts about getting Gansett outside of New England. Whatever reason they came, all had a Gansett and loved it. So next time you are visiting the smallest state in the union, make sure you "Have a 'Gansett, Neighbor!" Also on the list are some of our favorites like Portland, ME at #5; Boston at #7; Philadelphia at #17; New York City at #24; Orlando at #34 and Miami at #35. Narragansett beer is in fact available in all of those cities. But there's no place like home. Way to go Providence!
