Tonight there will be some sadness in the dreary air over Pawtucket. But not to worry, before the sadness really sinks in there will be plenty of rockin' out and sing-alongs down at The Met. It's The Coming Weak's final show and although this may depress some fans, they aren't going quietly. We're in for a night of some favorites like Days Go By, Navigation Pt. 1 and Vacant. Like the poster says above, I can hear everyone singing, "Pictures are all that's left now," as loud as they can now. Recording with producer Michael Poorman at Strangeways Recording in Providence, The Coming Weak's discography includes four great records including Consider This, Navigation, Are We All Letting Go, and the most recent self-titled The Coming Weak. All are still available online and at tonight's show. Supporting the show we'll hear some great music from The Tower & The Fool, Life On Hold and The Appreciation Post. The Providence music scene has been blessed for the past few years with The Coming Weak's music. From the BRU Rock Hunt to opening for Anberlin at Lupo's, it's been quite the trip. So come support them one last time. You never know if they'll be a reunion or not.

Perishable’s annual fundraising gala, Jingle Belles and A Few Balls poses the question, "what are the celebratory habits of vampires, zombies, ghosts, and werewolve’err’werereindeer?"
Jingle Belles always has the feel of classic burlesque with a holiday twist. This year, performers in the benefit for Perishable Theatre takes this event to new heights combining the holidays with the supernatural. Anticipated highlights include a burlesque send up of Tiny Tim's untimely demise, a bewitched Chanukah Boylesque and the realization that vampires DO show up at Christmas parties in perfectly respectable places. Additional bringers of cheer include Miss Wensday, Rory Raven, and Chifferobe’s Kristin Minsky to name a few.
