Mark, what can you tell us about the Stock Ale you mention in this article? Will that be another ’Gansett seasonal or a year-round offering?

“The classic regional lagers had a full stable of beers,” said Narragansett owner Mark Hellendrung in a recent phone interview. “After this, we’ll go into a porter and we’ll bring back the bock and a stock ale.”

A great location for the new Narragansett Brewery would be in the old mill complex in the village of Hope in Scituate. It’s located just below the Hope Dam on the north branch of the Pawtuxet River, just downstream from the Scituate Reservoir. There’s plenty of room for future expansion, too, which is obviously an important consideration (because where Narragansett Lager Beer is concerned the sky is the limit!).
