Weekend Recap: Coheed Concert, CT Tigers Baseball And Beach Bars

BRU Crew

Summer unofficially came to and end this weekend and Gansett went out with a bang. Even though there are 2 weeks left until Fall, we made this an unforgettable time. The alt-rock station of WBRU really knows how to put on one hell of a concert. Narragansett was the official beer of this past Saturday's Dunkin' Donuts Summer Concert with Coheed and Cambria. The weather was absolutely perfect for this and with Hurricane Earl gone, the Bank Of America Skating Center in downtown Providence was absolutely packed. The sounds of The Dear Hunter got the show off to a great start and Manchester Orchestra came on after with a set that absolutely slayed. Then Coheed took the stage and opened with the powerful track, "In Keeping Secrets Of Silent Earth: 3." The rest of their set was just as epic and the entire skating center was singing along to every word. We already can't wait for the next show. Here's a few more photos thanks to Wendell Gee!

Gansett Girls and the CT Tigers Baseball

The Connecticut Tigers and Narragansett Beer present the 2010 One Sweet Suite Promotion. The Tigers gave away a luxury suite to Keith Blancxhard of Manchester, CT to last week's home game at Dodd Stadium in Norwich, CT against the Aberdeen IronBirds on September 1. The suite was decorated by Narragansett and feature an appearance by the ’Gansett Girls. the girls then got to go on the field and throw out some Gansett t-shirts to the crowd. Here are some photos from the game.

It's been a great Summer down at the beaches in Narragansett and Westerly. So we ended with some great promos down at Paddys and the Andrea Hotel in Misquamicut this weekend. James Harris was performed a great acostic set on stage at the Paddy's Tiki Shack. The best part of the day was the raffle for Red Sox Tickets. A super cool Gansett fan named Aubrey won them and was very excited! Also, kicked off our new Fest at Buster Krabs in Galilee with everyone tasting it on draft. It went over extremely well and got everyone in the mood for Fall. The girls were at all 3 bars with some other great Gansett Gear as prizes for our bag toss or rebus coaster game. Definitely the perfect way to end a fantastic Summer. Here are some photos from all 3 events.
